G.I. Joe Destro Action Figure Review 1983

Destro. Shirtless. Sweet medallion.
One of the coolest character designs of the early G.I. Joe era was Destro. Destro, while often grouped with Cobra, was actually an independent arms dealer who sold weapons to Cobra but maintained his own independence and actually had his own army in the Iron Grenadiers. The vac-metal mask of the Destro figure really set it apart from other figures in the line and still to this day is one of the most visually striking action figures.
Destro's backpack opened up to reveal other weapons molded inside.
Destro came with a small pistol and a square backpack that opened up to reveal more guns inside (though sadly molded in and not removable). Destro also stood slightly taller than the other circa 1982-83 G.I. Joe figures.
I loved the figure as a kid. I don't remember the day I actually bought him but I do remember having him in my collection very early on so I probably bought him sometime in 1983.

1983 Destro beside a circa 25th Anniversary Destro figure. I really hate the black mask destro and I'm not sure why he's in my collection. i think he came in a multi-pack or something.
