News:  The old Shedlock results newsletter had these notes:  Austin Idol was outside the area for a couple of weeks and it was then announced that Bob Armstrong had beaten Idol for the NWA Southeastern heavyweight title in Memphis, TN...  Mr. Olympia (Jerry Stubbs) returned to the area and, in his first match, beat Wayne Farris for the NWA Alabama title on December 30 in Birmingham.  Farris soon left the area.
