Southeastern Championship Wrestling Action News Podcast Debuts on the When It Was Cool Podcast Network

December 2024 marks the debut of a new podcast on the When It Was Cool Podcast Network, Karl Stern and Tonya from WhenItWasCool.com would like to welcome Dothan, Alabama fan and memorabilia collector Aaron Gartlan to the network with his new Southeastern Championship Wrestling Action News Podcast.

Aaron Gartlan has been a life-long fan of Southeastern wrestling. Growing up in the Dothan, Alabama area, Aaron was raised on the incredible wrestling that the Ron Fuller owned promotion brought to the area, and he attended many shows at the Houston County Farm Center.

Southeastern Championship Wrestling, which began in Knoxville, Tennessee in the 1970s, bought out the old Gulf Coast wrestling promotion in Mobile, Alabama and, at one point in the late 1970s, ran two promotions under the same Southeastern name in both Knoxville and Pensacola, Florida. In October 1980, the TV show and promotional territory expanded to take in the northern part of Alabama as well and began promoting weekly shows from the historic Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, AL.

Southeastern Championship Wrestling Action News will be reviewing weekly episodes and can be found for free on most major podcast apps over the coming weeks. You can listen to, or download the show, directly here from When It Was Cool via Aaron’s Southeastern Championship Wrestling Action News page here.
