By: Karl Stern (@wiwcool)
This Ultimate History of Pro Wrestling - A Time Line of Every Major Event in Pro Wrestling History, is the culmination of research, not only by me, but by many of the greatest historians in wrestling. I must make mention of several of these by name because, without their research and work, much of the history of wrestling would not be known. They are: Steve Yohe, Mark Hewitt, J. Michael Kenyon, Royal Duncan, Gary Will, Libnan Ayoub, Gherardo Bonini, Mike Chapman, Hisaharu Tanabe, Don Luce, Dave Meltzer, Bryan Alvarez, Bruce Mitchell, Seth Hanson, Joseph Svinth, Dan Cerquitella, Vance Nevada, Robert Rothhaas, Greg Oliver, Evan Ginzburg, Tim Hornbaker, Matt Farmer, David Williamson, Beau James, Chris Charlton, Mark James and his many wonderful record books, Graham Cawthon and his many wonderful record books, Joseph Shedlock and his newsletter, William Schutte, Kris Zellner, David Bix, Scott Bowden, Jim Cornette, Brian Last, Juan Nunez, DA White, Ron Fuller (Welch), Scott Teal and his many wonderful books, Paul Sosnowski, and many others.
Since our start, we have been used as resource material for such major publications as the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. Our newsletters (available for download by our Patreon supporters in the digital downloads section) have served as research material for specials on ESPN and FOX News, as well as featured in the Florida Sun-Sentinel and other newspapers. We have also been credited in several books including Death of WCW and Chokehold.
This is a work in progress. New information will be added to the time line when verified and corrections will be made as needed. If you would like to correct anything please drop me an email or contact me on social media. Thank you. - Karl Stern (DragonKingKarl)
